Hello, My MacBook Pro 2018 core I7 2,7 Ghz become very (very) hot and noisy during app development. I have tested Turbo Boost Switcher and the difference is awesome!

Building an iOS app using Xcode with Turbo Boost the cpu reach 100°c and the fans are very (very) noisy. Making same app without Turbo Boost, the cpu do not exceed 80°c and fans are totally inaudible. With Turbo Boost the job take 1″30 versus 1″50 without. Compare to the comfort of a MacBook Pro quiet and at normal temperature the result of my test is 100% positive. You have accomplish a great job! I will purchased the version Pro without hesitation. Can you make a version that turns off speedstep (CPU throttling below base frequency)?

MacOS doesn’t allow this and I suspect some of the glitching in my real-time audio setup comes from this. (In Windows, it is common to advise turning this off with pro audio applications.) NB: I have a very high-spec system and push it very hard. Actually the more control over the CPU freq/voltage settings the better. For example, I would love to test my setup with a completely fixed CPU freq to see how much glitching comes from CPU state transitions. Hello, thanks for this app, it works great on Sierra. I tried it a while ago and was glad I found it again on an old backup, I prefer a cooler CPU and better battery life since I have no need for heavy and hungry apps. Just bought the Pro for support
